As a die hard NieR fan, I wanted to stick with the character of the original while bringing my own post-minimalist flair to the arrangement. Okabe-san's music is divine, and I wanted to pay homage to NieR's amazing soundtrack. This arrangement is heavily influenced by Ola Gjeilo's "Dark Night of the Soul", a fast-paced yet gorgeous choir piece with piano and string quartet. I believe this style suits "Shadowlord" wonderfullya, and all the performers involved did an amazing job, especially considering the difficulty. I didn't make it easy! This was a fever dream and a joy to put together; I hope everyone enjoys it!
