I guess my involvement included creating all music (no sound design!) elements found in the game, and for all the various maps and game trailer teasers as well. Everything was done in Logic Pro X with a mix of high end virtual instruments as well as real ones. The process was interesting because I had to work with screen grabs sent from the developers as we're based in different places. (Myself in Singapore, them in Denmark), but communication and delivery of all relevant assets were smooth.
This is actually the first ever VR game I've composed for and I'm thrilled to have been given the opportunity. It's one thing as a composer to have your music placed in video games, but to be contracted to specifically write music from scratch for a project is definitely a whole different experience. I feel that my music developed along and in tandem with the game, especially since the project began in September 2017 and only recently concluded. This gave me significant time to hone my experience. Some of the staff developers were also former music producers, so they would tell me when changes were required.
